Chassis Changes Effective 5/30/25

Following the recent announcement from FlexiVan and ONE, we would like to provide you with an update on Yusen Terminals' revised chassis provision process and access. 

Starting Friday, 5/30/25, the new chassis environment at Yusen Terminals will be implemented with the following key features and procedures: 

  • Our main chassis pit and YTI East areas will feature two separate chassis IEP options: POP and FLXP. 
  • Routing tickets will specify where drivers are to pick up each chassis type. 
  • It is the driver’s responsibility to know which type of chassis is required before arriving at the terminal
  • Drivers should pay close attention to the ticket details
  • Our website’s chassis section will display inventory by size and type, clearly separating POP and FLXP options.
  • We encourage dispatchers to review our website chassis details before sending drivers

Appointment Exemptions

To provide scheduling flexibility, YTI will continue to provide the following exemptions:

  • Empty is exempt from an appointment on dual import pick-up transactions.
  • YTI must be OPEN for receiving for that line, size, and type.

​For Import Dual Transactions, please adhere to the following items before arriving to the terminal.

  1. Verify YTI is accepting the shipping line /size/type of empty (posted on Empty Receiving Schedule)
  2. Book valid import appointment
  3. Arrive during the appointment window
  4. Provide the import appointment ID number at the speaker

For both Import and Export Out of Gauge (OOG) shipments, please call our Customer Service Team at (310) 548-8275 for assistance to schedule your appointment.  Please do not use YTI Gate Link to schedule your OOG appointments at this time.
